McDaniel and Franklin are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Mountain Lions will head out to challenge the Quakers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. McDaniel has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McDaniel managed to slip by Grant the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mountain Lions came up short against the Generals on Wednesday, falling 13-0. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Franklin and Ida B. Wells, and Franklin kept the tradition alive. The Quakers blew past the Guardians 16-4 on Wednesday. Considering the Quakers have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin pushed their record up to 5-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for McDaniel, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Everything went McDaniel's way against Franklin in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as McDaniel made off with an 18-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountain Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
