Forest Hills Northern waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-51 W against the Williamston Hornets. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Hornets are ranked 355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forest Hills Northern's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Williamston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coming up, Forest Hills Northern will square off against Forest Hills Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Hills Northern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Forest Hills Eastern likes a good challenge. As for Williamston, they will be playing at home against Haslett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
