Rush City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Mora Mustangs on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rush City also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.
Kendal Pillar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Pillar was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Rush City let Lola Mold and Summer Nelson loose on the outfield.
