Baseball Game Preview: Christoval Cougars vs. Forsan Buffaloes

For the second straight game, Christoval will face off against Forsan. The Cougars will challenge the Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Christoval is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.

Christoval is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Forsan as they made off with a 14-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryler Hunt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Hunt was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Debusk, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Colt Floyd, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Christoval was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 14 consecutive contests.

Christoval's record is now 15-7. As for Forsan, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-2.
