Volleyball Recap: North Kansas City Gets the Win

North Kansas City got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Park Hill Trojans by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

North Kansas City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Jayson Gudiel paced North Kansas City's offense, picking up 17 kills. Gudiel got some help from Haythay Htoo and his 26 assists. Brian Nguyen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

North Kansas City's victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1. As for Park Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

North Kansas City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against St. Pius X on the 25th. As for Park Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Central on the 24th.
