Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson fell victim to Grant and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Generals. The Democrats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Jefferson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Brown Chavarria, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Grant, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

While Jefferson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
