After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Myrtle, Vardaman was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Calhoun City Wildcats. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Vardaman let Gracie Chandler and Hannah Lowe run wild. Chandler went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Lowe went 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base. Chandler is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Prseley McGreger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Vardaman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
