New Brockton and Geneva are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Gamecocks will welcome the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. New Brockton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
12 must be New Brockton's lucky number: they beat Straughn with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Gamecocks beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-6. The result was nothing new for the Gamecocks, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Fisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has become a key player for New Brockton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 8-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Will Adkison was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Moran, who scored three runs and stole three bases.
Meanwhile, Geneva came up short against Dale County on Friday and fell 7-4.
Geneva saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Precise, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Precise also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Brady Cox was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
New Brockton pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Geneva, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-12.
New Brockton took their win against Geneva in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Gamecocks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
