Soccer Recap: Cypress Ridge Takes a Loss

If Cypress Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Jersey Village last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cypress Ridge Rams lost 8-0 to the Stratford Spartans on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Spartans are ranked 33rd).

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Stratford, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Cypress Ridge will challenge Cypress Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stratford, they will take on Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
