Volleyball Recap: Rocori Gets the Win

The Rocori Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Canby Lancers on Friday.

Ashlyn Fuchs paced Rocori's offense, picking up nine kills. Fuchs got some help from Chloe Labine and her 12 assists. Eliett Satterstrom and Jessica Boos kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Jaryn Houseman and Alexa Vernlund certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Houseman had 17 digs and one assist, while Vernlund had six digs and three aces.

Rocori's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Canby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Rocori wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Willmar on the 11th. As for Canby, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bemidji on the 11th.
