Baseball Game Preview: Amite School Center Rebels vs. Adams County Christian Rebels

For the second straight game, Amite School Center will face off against Adams County Christian. Amite School Center will head out to take on Adams County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Amite School Center's offense. They came up short against Adams County Christian on Tuesday, falling 7-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Amite School Center hasn't been shut out since back in March.

For Adams County Christian's part, Coleman Carter was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. Carter has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Kerry Cothern, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Amite School Center's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Adams County Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.
