Gunn's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Homestead Mustangs 6-5. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Cyrus Silva Rezvani spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Gunn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Fitzhugh, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Fitzhugh also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another was Albert Pellizzari, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Gunn has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 10.2 hits in those games compared to only 3.67 in the others. Homestead dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Gunn will have a chance to go back-to-back against Homestead: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
