Football Recap: Hammonton Comes Up Short

Hammonton extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They lost 21-0 to the Shawnee Renegades. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Renegades from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Shawnee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. Considering they have won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Shawnee found their leader in sophomore Cole Anderson, who rushed for 158 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Anderson is now averaging an impressive 103.8 rushing yards per game.

Looking ahead, Hammonton is taking a road trip to take on Lacey Township at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shawnee, they will take on Pennsauken at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
