Volleyball Recap: George Jenkins Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If George Jenkins was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Durant on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. George Jenkins fell just short of Montverde Academy by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. George Jenkins was not able to make up for their loss to Montverde Academy from their previous meeting back in October of 2021.

George Jenkins took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-4.

George Jenkins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Montverde Academy, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, George Jenkins will host Keswick Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Montverde Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Horizon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
