Softball Recap: Suffern Comes Up Short

Suffern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to the Mahopac Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Thursday.

Suffern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Edmond, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Gianna Klingner also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Suffern's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mahopac, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Suffern by a score of 7-1 later that day.
