Wilmington took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Franklin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greyhounds had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Greyhounds as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Their offense was headlined by Isabelle Lynch and Macy Gardner, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Aliyah Jeckavitch and her 24 assists. Gardner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tennyson Miller, each putting up three.

Wilmington's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wilmington will take on Jamestown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
