Basketball Recap: Longview Comes Up Short

Longview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 47-40 to the Forney Jackrabbits. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jackrabbits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-40 back in December of 2025.

Longview's record now sits at 18-9. As for Forney, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

Coming up, Longview and Tyler Legacy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Forney, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
