Baseball Recap: Grenada Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grenada can now relate to. They came up short against the Warren Central Vikings on Saturday, falling 8-2. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Grenada got a good showing from Hunter Watson, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Watson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Grenada's loss dropped their record down to 17-11-1. As for Warren Central, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-9.

While Grenada had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
