There's no place like home for Point Pleasant Boro, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Manasquan Warriors on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

John Loizos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nick Carmino was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Point Pleasant Boro picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Manasquan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Point Pleasant Boro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
