Riverside-Brookfield entered their tilt with Glenbard South on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Raiders. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Cole Rubio paced Riverside-Brookfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Rubio got some help from Gianfranco Crancich and his 16 assists. Liam Keohane and TJ Austin kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Riverside-Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Glenbard South, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-15.

Looking ahead, Riverside-Brookfield will head out on the road to face off against Hinsdale South at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Glenbard South will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against the Hornets, they'll take on Glenbard South again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
