Basketball Recap: Leroy Greene Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Leroy Greene Academy faced off against Fortune Early College on Thursday. The Leroy Greene Academy Lions were dealt a 106-25 loss at the hands of the Fortune Early College Panthers. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-18.

Kaden Bean went supernova for Fortune Early College, putting up 20 points and five rebounds. Bean is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Leroy Greene Academy dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fortune Early College, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leroy Greene Academy will welcome Esparto at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Leroy Greene Academy is facing Esparto at the right time seeing as Esparto is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Fortune Early College, they will face off against Burbank at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
