Softball Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Asheboro on Wednesday, Grimsley came back down to earth. The Whirlies came up short against the Dudley Panthers on Friday, falling 23-10. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 17, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Grimsley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dudley, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grimsley is set to face off against their familiar foe Ben L. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dudley will challenge rival Ragsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
