Basketball Recap: School Without Walls Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

School Without Walls won the last time they faced Ron Brown, and Chidiire Nwokwu did his part to make sure it happened again. The School Without Walls Penguins walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Ron Brown Monarchs on Wednesday thanks in part to Nwokwu, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points and six steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Ron Brown saw an underclassman step up: freshman Arrington Smith posted 18 points and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Smith. Lenoxx Walker was another key player, putting up nine points.

School Without Walls has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Ron Brown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School Without Walls will square off against Coolidge at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ron Brown, they will head out to square off against Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Ron Brown surely won't give up without a fight.
