Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, D.H. Conley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corinth Holders Pirates on Saturday. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their 23-game winning streak.

D.H. Conley got a good showing from Tucker Anderson, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Anderson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, D.H. Conley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Layton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

D.H. Conley's loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Corinth Holders, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.
