Basketball Recap: Centralia Skates Past Valley Heights with Ease

Centralia won against Atchison County last Tuesday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Centralia Panthers claimed a resounding 67-38 win over the Valley Heights Mustangs. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Centralia and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Valley Heights, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centralia will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clifton-Clyde at 7:05 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Valley Heights will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Frankfort on January 4, 2025.
