Volleyball Recap: Flagler Panthers vs. Lone Star Longhorns
Flagler was the 3-2 winner over Lone Star when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Flagler was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lone Star work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 18-25, 27-25, 15-6.
Rylie Berry paced Flagler's offense, picking up 12 kills. Berry got some help from Kenzie Schulte and her 13 assists. Sydnie Berry controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Flagler's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lone Star, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Flagler will challenge Granada at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lone Star, they will square off against Briggsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
