Baseball Recap: Eminence Beats Gallatin County for Their Third Straight Win

Eminence waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gallatin County Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten runs.

Cody Bradbury and Dallin Malone made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Bradbury pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Malone kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Bradbury has become a key player for Eminence: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-5 otherwise. At bat, Bradbury scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3, while Malone went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four stolen bases gave Bradbury a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eminence let Jakob Whitaker and Tanner Simpson run wild. Whitaker scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Simpson scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Whitaker a new career-high in RBI (two). Cooper Shaw was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

The win got Eminence back to even at 6-6. As for Gallatin County, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Eminence will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
