Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy Makes It Four in a Row at Home

The Classical Academy extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Naomi Flowers. The Classical Academy Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Colorado Springs Christian Lions on Tuesday, sneaking past 39-36 thanks in part to Flowers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Colorado Springs Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rose Ross, who posted 16 points. Ross has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Rollins, who scored seven points in addition to eight boards and eight steals.

The Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Colorado Springs Christian, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

The Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-46 victory against Sierra on the 29th. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-23 win against St. Mary's on the 1st.
