Ossining is 8-1 against Mount Vernon since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pride will welcome the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Ossining is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Yonkers Force [Gorton/Roosevelt/Yonkers Montessori Academy/Yonkers] last Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Pride took a blow against the Force, falling 43-7. The Pride were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-7.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Ramapo 2-0. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ossining's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mount Vernon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Ossining didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mount Vernon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 6-0 win.
