Volleyball Game Preview: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Starmount Rams + How To Watch

The Elkin Buckin' Elks will head out to take on the Starmount Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Elkin will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last.

Elkin will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Alleghany, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Buckin' Elks blew past the Trojans 3-0 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Buckin' Elks as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-13.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Starmount and Ashe County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Starmount was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 25-11.

Elkin's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Starmount, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
