Basketball Recap: South Iredell Takes a Loss

South Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 46-27 bruising from the Cox Mill Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, with their most recent loss being a 50-36 defeat last Friday.

Cox Mill found their leader in sophomore Madison Alexander, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 18 points and four steals. That's the most steals Alexander has posted since back in November of 2024. Lauren Farrell was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Cox Mill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

South Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cox Mill, they have already played their next game, a 77-40 defeat against Hickory Ridge on the 18th.
