After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palm Springs, Coachella Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Shadow Hills Knights. The Mighty Arabs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Coachella Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Coachella Valley can attribute much of their success to Makayla Rivera, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Rivera has posted over her last six games.

Rivera wasn't the only good server: Coachella Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Coachella Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Shadow Hills, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-4.

Coachella Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against La Quinta on the 27th. As for Shadow Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hemet on the 27th.
