Baseball Game Preview: Barnesville Trojans vs. Perham Yellowjackets

Barnesville is 0-10 against Perham since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m.

Barnesville came up short against Staples-Motley on Thursday, falling 10-3.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Perham made sure to put some runs up on the board against Anoka on Saturday. The Yellowjackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tornadoes, sneaking past 14-12.

Perham let Gavin Griffin and Bradyn Anderson run wild. Griffin went 4-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Anderson went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Griffin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagen Schmelz, who earned two RBI and two runs.

Barnesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Perham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Barnesville might still be hurting after the 16-6 defeat they got from Perham when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
