Mount Vernon is 4-0 against Blaine since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Mount Vernon Bulldogs will take on the Blaine Borderites at 7:15 p.m. Mount Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Blaine likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Mount Vernon ended up a good deal behind Meridian and lost 72-55.

Meanwhile, Blaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Ferndale. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Borderites have suffered since December 15, 2023.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Blaine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Mount Vernon took their victory against Blaine in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 78-53. Will Mount Vernon repeat their success, or does Blaine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
