Softball Recap: Cato-Meridian Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Cato-Meridian and Port Byron have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Blue Devils lost 14-2 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 on April 1st.

Cato-Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Port Byron, their record now sits at 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cato-Meridian will challenge Bishop Ludden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Port Byron, they will take on Weedsport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
