There's no place like home for Chambers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Myers Park Mustangs 66-64. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chambers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lavonte 'LJ' Jackson Jr. out in front who posted 13 points and six boards. That's the most points Jackson Jr. has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quentel 'QJ' Young, who scored 16 points.

Despite the loss, Myers Park had strong showings from Ayo Awosanya, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 18 rebounds, and Thomas Vickery, who had 20 points and five boards. Awosanya is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season. Cash Hall was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win got Chambers back to even at 1-1.

Chambers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-60 victory against Palisades on the 21st. As for Myers Park, they have also already played their next game, a 74-59 defeat against Davidson Day on the 21st.
