Softball Recap: Community School of Naples Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Community School of Naples, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Everglades City Gators 17-2 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Seahawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Chloe Zimm made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Zimm was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lily Campbell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Lucie Norman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Community School of Naples always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Everglades City only posted an OBP of .333.

Community School of Naples' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Everglades City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Community School of Naples wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-8 win against Seacrest Country Day on the 11th. As for Everglades City, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-10 victory against Golden Gate on the 18th.
