Baseball Game Preview: Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights vs. Medford Tigers

The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights will square off against the Medford Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Medford took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kenyon-Wanamingo, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Kenyon-Wanamingo needed a bit of extra time to put away International Falls. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial.

Kenyon-Wanamingo's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Kenyon-Wanamingo took their win against Medford in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
