Recap: Tolar Rattlers vs. Trenton Tigers

With a playoff game on the line, the Tolar Rattlers rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past Trenton, posting a 57-12 victory at home. Considering Tolar has won ten contests by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tolar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garrison Nation, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns. Nation was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Blessing, who threw for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes.

The win was the eighth in a row for Tolar, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Trenton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Tolar will take on Cayuga at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Cayuga will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Tolar is ranked 209th). Trenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
