Stokes excelled for Oakland Soldiers on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer, averaging 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest to guide his squad to a 14-1 record in regular season action.
He continued his impressive play in his first game at the Peach Jam in a win over Indy Heat on Saturday as he tallied 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists while shooting 10-of-13 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range.
The elite prospect also helped guide the United States U17 National Team to the gold medal at the 2024 FIBA World Cup earlier this month as he averaged 12.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists while playing 18.2 minutes a game across seven games.
Stokes is the second top-ranked prospect in his classification to transfer out of Prolfic Prep this summer after his former high school teammate and current club teammate
AJ Dybantsa announced he was transferring to
Utah Prep (Hurricane, Utah) back in May.
With the addition of the top-ranked prospect in the Class of 2026 according to
247Sports, Notre Dame will now be among the favorites to capture the CIF Open Division state championship next season. Although the Knights lose
Mercy Miller to graduation,
Angelino Mark and
Zachary White are among key returners to accompany their incoming firepower.
Notre Dame finished the season 31-4, advancing to the CIF Division I state quarterfinals last season after capturing the Division I state championship in 2022-23.
