Baseball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County was the 6-2 winner over Green County when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights lost 11-4 to the Dragons on Wednesday.

Marion County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. That RBI was Thompson's first of the season.

Marion County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Green County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion County will venture away from home to square off against Elizabethtown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green County, they will take on Monroe County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
