Basketball Game Preview: Oelwein Huskies vs. Denver Cyclones

After both having extra time off, the Oelwein Huskies and the Denver Cyclones will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Oelwein has struggled recently with eight losses in a row, while Denver will arrive with six straight wins.

Last Friday, Oelwein ended up a good deal behind Wapsie Valley and lost 55-38.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Denver beat Columbus 64-59 last Friday.

Denver's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Oelwein, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
