Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Carrington's Winning Streak

On Monday, Carrington faced South Prairie/Max in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Carrington Cardinals were beaten by South Prairie/Max 69-40. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

With the loss, Carrington broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-2. As for South Prairie/Max, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Carrington will welcome Thompson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thompson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Carrington likes a good challenge. As for South Prairie/Max, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-34 win against Rugby on the 4th.
