Baseball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against J.L. Mann, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Green Wave fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Green Wave have suffered against the Patriots since March 30, 2018.

Easley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for J.L. Mann, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Easley is set to challenge their familiar foe Woodmont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, J.L. Mann will square off against rival Greenville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.4, the Red Raiders 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
