Softball Recap: Lone Peak Takes a Loss

Lone Peak fell victim to American Fork and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cavemen by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since March 15, 2024.

Lone Peak has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for American Fork, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Peak will welcome Skyridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
