Softball Recap: Kamiak Gets the Win

After losing to Marysville Getchell the last time they met, Kamiak decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights walked away with a 7-3 win over Marysville Getchell on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

The team relied heavily on Cam Hansen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Olivia Martinez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Kamiak's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Marysville Getchell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kamiak will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Marysville Getchell, they will face off against Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
