Volleyball Recap: Reavis Takes a Loss

Reavis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Shepard Astros. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11.

Lorena Viloria paced Reavis' offense, picking up five kills. Viloria got some help from Quetzalli Pichardo-Aich and her nine assists. Lily Fish controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Reavis' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Shepard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Reavis will take on Romeoville in a tournament on Saturday. As for Shepard, they will be taking part in a tournament against Evergreen Park at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
