Basketball Game Preview: Quad Cities Christian Eagles vs. Sherrard Tigers

The Quad Cities Christian Eagles will challenge the Sherrard Tigers at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. Quad Cities Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.3 points per game this season.

Quad Cities Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 65 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Alleman on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 60-28 loss at the hands of the Pioneers. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Quad Cities Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tanner Garant, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals, and Cobie Becker-Paradiso, who earned eight points. Garant has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played.

Meanwhile, Sherrard came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 49-41.

Quad Cities Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Sherrard, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
