Soccer Game Preview: Lindbergh vs. Jackson

The Lindbergh Flyers will face off against the Jackson Fighting Indians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lindbergh's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lindbergh took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Eureka, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flyers beat the Wildcats by a goal, winning 3-2. The game was the first time Lindbergh have beaten Eureka on their pitch since April 3, 2018.

Meanwhile, Jackson entered their tilt with Sikeston on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Jackson, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Lindbergh's victory bumped their record up to 10-8-1. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Lindbergh skirted past Jackson 3-2 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Flyers repeat their success, or do the Fighting Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
