Soccer Game Preview: Nicholas County vs. Grafton

The Nicholas County Grizzlies will head out to challenge the Grafton Bearcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Nicholas County and PikeView finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Grafton faced Bridgeport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bearcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. Grafton have struggled against Bridgeport recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Grafton's loss dropped their record down to 10-4-2. With that draw, Nicholas County's record moves to 7-7-3.

Nicholas County might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Grafton in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
